We regret to inform you that Papa Lena's products are temporarily unavailable.

Here's what happened:

From our tiny Chicago Ave. store front, we created superior, artisan products and sold them for a fair price. Happily, the demand for our unique vegetable chips, dips, and cakes exploded! We grew fast, perhaps too fast. It was difficult to keep up with orders, especially trying to supply 31 Midwest Whole Foods Markets. It was apparent we needed a larger, more suitable and fully automated manufacturing facility.

Therefore, after four years of making and selling our hand-made products, building our brand, and securing business relationships, our plan was on track…close Chicago Ave. and take Papa Lena’s to the next level of growth and profitability. 

Then the economy turned, and small businesses were especially affected. Vendors and suppliers have shortened their terms, customers want extended terms, and banks have stopped lending.

As you read this, we are working hard on securing funding for a fully automated "green" facility at the size and scope needed to meet demand while maintaining the quality that Papa Lena's is known for. If you are one of our product re-sellers, we know your customers will be disappointed, but you can assure them that as soon as we are up and running, they will have their favorite Papa Lena's products once again!
